A Year in the Vineyard
March- Spring time buds!
May- Bloom!

June- Set!

June- Shoot Positioning and Thinning the Pinot Noir.

July: Veraison begins in the syrah. The grapes change color and start ripening.

September: The syrah at full veraison. Sugar and flavors are developing; berries soften. At the optimum point, harvest will begin. Netting keeps out the voracious birds!

October: After the grapes are picked, vines shut down for the winter. A spurt of root growth will fortify the vines for next spring

November: Fall color in the vineyard. After the grapes are picked, vines shut down for the winter. From our hill is a view of the Bay
